 01 February 1999   News Release

TRAVERSE CITY, MI - Gerald E. Milatz, Vice President of Operations, CRT & Associates, Inc. today announced the expansion of its information system contract with the State of Michigan. Working with the Michigan Department of Transportation and the International Bridge Authority in Sault Ste. Marie, MI, CRT & Associates’ responsibilities have been expanded to include the creation of a new Toll Collection and Audit System. This system will consist of entirely new hardware and software which will replace technology that in some cases has been in place for over seven years. In addition to emulating current functions and features, the newer system will not only provide expansion capabilities in order to meet future challenges and system improvements, but achieve Year 2000 compliance as well.

Milatz stated, “There is a critical need to maintain the operation of these systems in a rapidly changing technological environment. It is imperative the integrity of these transportation facilities is maintained for the motoring public. We are pleased to expand our relationship with the Michigan Department of Transportation and International Bridge Authority to meet these needs.”

CRT & Associates will continue to maintain responsibility for the repair and maintenance of computer hardware and software for the Toll Collection and Audit Software Systems at the International and Blue Water Bridges located in Sault Ste. Marie, MI and Port Huron, MI respectively.
